BEST STREET FOOD

Here I go again...changing the menu.  I have decided to go my own way and finally make my theme for the shop "The Best Street Food"   Basically the menu will consist of the best street food you can get off a vendors cart on any street corner in Philly, NY or Chicago.  Maybe even some California items.   I think this menu is a keeper.

It will feature our homemade pretzel rolls along with our very own Philadelphia Soft Pretzels.  Of course the Cheesesteaks and Hoagies are a given.  I decided to add Vienna Beef Franks to the menu.  Only because I fell in love with Chicago Dogs and Vienna Beef.  There will be a variety of Dogs to choose from.  I prefer the jumbo dogs over the regular size because I think they have way more flavor then the little dogs.  I also make the NY Pushcart Onions for the dogs.  So all of you from NY you know what I'm talking about.

By popular demand I am also bringing back Onion Rings with our very own dipping sauce or choice of Ranch dressing.

There is more.  The Red Chili is back and I now make my own Green Chili.  I'm still working on the heat thing.  It just needs a little bit more bite.  Or not!

The new menu will be in affect after Nov 20th.  I feel really good about this menu and feel it is a keeper.  I hope you all like it to.

4 Years in the Biz

We are now 4 years in the sandwich business.  It hasn't been easy especially these days with the economy.  I have changed my hours over the years trying to figure out what works best.  Bottom line is - Location, Location, Location.  I guess it is all relative in the end.  If I was in a so called better location my rent would be higher, Staffing would belarger, utilities would be higher.

So here I am again making a business decision to change my hours.   The one thing I have noticed is Breakfast is big.  So Instead of cutting hours I flipped them.  We are now open for Breakfast.  We are making Philly Style Breakfast Sandwiches.  Steak and Egg, Steak and Pepper Egg, Bacon and Egg, Sausage and egg.  If you want to get daring mix it all together.

We will be making breakfast from 7am to 10am Monday thru Friday.  You can eat these sandwiches on the run just like burittos.

I also downsized the menu.  After going over what our sales are we cut our cost by just keeping our best sellers on the menu. By doing this it has enabled us to get the sandwiches out quicker without affecting the quality.

So after all of that I would like to thank you all for supporting our little store.

Marge
